About the event
Dr. Ed Kaczuk is a Professor of Liturgical-Sacramental Theology and music director at Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology. He has been pursuing the relationship between Literugy, Theology, and processes of the brain since 2006. He is a recipient of a grant from the Templeton Foundation to develop a course teaching science and theology to seminarians. Along with Fr. Michael Woost, he teaches The Transfigured Brain: Science, Ritual, and Mysticism at the seminary. Dr. Kaczuk is also on the faulty at Borromeo Seminary and has helped prepare the Liturgy Preparation pages of the GIA Quarterly for over twelve years and has authored several articles on the relationship between the brain, music, and the liturgy.
